Project "EU - internal market support" With the cooperation of the Judicial Academy of the Republic of Serbia, he held the sixth seminar this time on the topic "Criminal Law of the European Union in the field of intellectual property".

The lecturer at the seminar was:

Public Prosecutor Patricia Rodriguez Lastras (High-Tech Crime Department, Spain)

The seminar was realized for judges / judicial assistants, prosecutors / prosecutorial assistants, as well as for representatives of the Ministry of the Interior, Customs and the Institute of Intellectual Property.

The lecturer, among other things, presented participants:

EU acquis on implementation of intellectual property rights
Criminalization of violations of intellectual property rights
The main criminal offenses of violation of intellectual property rights: the provisions of the EU and the Republic of Serbia
Investigative challenges with special reference to copyright and other injuries on the Internet

Create the prerequisites for the development of professionalism in holders of judiciary office by establishing clear, measurable and objective criteria for the election and career advancement and their training and professional development, in line with core values and principles the judiciary system is founded on.

Goal

Develop and conduct training programmes for holders of judiciary offices and other staff in the judiciary system, aimed at acquiring new knowledge and its promotion, development of special abilities and skills, to contribute to strengthening of professional and accountable judiciary system.
