Minors as perpetrators of criminal acts and minors injured by a criminal act
The Judicial Academy, in cooperation with the Bar Association of Niš, organized two trainings on "Minors as perpetrators of criminal acts and minors injured by criminal acts" on November 29 and 30, 2025, at the "Regent" hotel in Niš. The trainings were attended by lawyers from the territory of the Niš appeal.
The topics covered in these trainings were:
• reasons for adopting the new Law on juvenile offenders and protection of juveniles in criminal proceedings;
• substantive law in the Law on Juvenile Offenders and Criminal Protection of Juveniles, selection and imposition of criminal sanctions against minors;
• procedural provisions from the Law on Juvenile Offenders and Criminal Protection of Juveniles and their application in practice;
• certain problems in the application of the Law on juvenile offenders and the protection of juveniles in criminal proceedings;
• cases from practice - material and procedural aspect.
The lecturers at these trainings were:
Dr. Milan Škulić, professor of the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade and judge of the Constitutional Court;
Dr. Ivana Stevanović, director of the Institute for Criminological and Sociological Research;
Dr. Dragan Obradović, retired judge of the High Court in Valjevo and permanent lecturer at the Judicial Academy.
