A meeting of representatives of the Council of Europe and the Judicial Academy was held on the occasion of the transfer of HELP online courses to the learning platform of the Judicial Academy
On November 19, 2025, a meeting of representatives of the Council of Europe and the Judicial Academy was held at the Judicial Academy in Belgrade on the occasion of transferring the HELP online courses of the Council of Europe from their platform to the LMS platform of the Judicial Academy.
The meeting was attended by: Daniela Balestra - system administrator of the SE HELP program, Jasminka Peruničić Allen - project coordinator of the HELP program in the Western Balkans, Sonja Vidanović - retired judge, contact person of the Judicial Academy for the HELP program in the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Stojanović - manager of the Well documentation information center and information affairs department and Biljana Stepanović - head of the Well documentation information center department.
During the meeting, the content and technical aspects of the transfer of HELP courses were discussed, as well as the plan for their integration into the existing training system conducted by the Judicial Academy.
Representatives of the Council of Europe expressed full support for the process of transferring HELP courses to the Academy's platform, emphasizing the importance of successful cooperation with the Judicial Academy in the implementation of HELP courses that represent European standards in the field of human rights, and pointed out that the Judicial Academy of the Republic of Serbia is the first Judicial Academy in the Western Balkans, which will integrate HELP courses on its platform.
Retired judge Sonja Vidanović expressed her gratitude to the Council of Europe for the long-term support it provides to the Judicial Academy and pointed out that the transfer of HELP courses is an important step in the further continuation of joint activities in the development and availability of training and that it represents an important stage in the further strengthening of the professional competences of holders of judicial functions in the consistent and efficient application of human rights.
The transfer of HELP online courses to the platform of the Judicial Academy will enable holders of judicial positions, participants of the Well initial training, as well as other users of the LMS platform to access specialized online training more easily, quickly and on a larger scale. This improves the system of continuous education, which is crucial for the application of European standards, the protection of human rights and the improvement of the efficiency of the judicial system.
The meeting ended with an agreement on further steps and dynamics of activities, with a joint commitment to ensuring quality and accessible education for all users of the training conducted by the Judicial Academy.
