Professional ethics in the prevention and fight against corruption

The Judicial Academy, in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice Project team for the prevention and fight against corruption funded by the EU Delegation to Serbia, organized a training entitled Professional ethics in the prevention and fight against corruption. The training was held in Niš on 28 May at the Judicial Academy’s conference room, and it was attended by judges within the Niš Appellate Court jurisdiction.
The objective of this training was to enable the participants to acquire the knowledge and skills required to recognize and resolve ethical dilemmas and risky situations in practice, by applying the Code of Ethics and anti-corruption tools.
The topics covered by the training included:
- Professional ethics;
- Competences required to recognize and resolve ethical dilemmas in practice – implementation of the Code of Ethics in resolving ethical dilemmas;
- Prevention and resolving risky situations for corruption occurrence;
- Corruption and anti-corruption tools;
- Accountability for ethical actions.
The lecturers on this training were: Mirjana Golubović, Head of the Criminal Law Sector at the Judicial Academy and Tamara Tomašević – senior EU Project expert.
