The Judicial Academy of the Republic of Serbia, once again this year, by invitation, traditionally participated in the Belgrade Conference of Lawyers -BACKUP 2024.

The Belgrade Conference of Lawyers is an organization that has been in existence for nine years and which, with the support of the Ministry of Justice, the Judicial Academy, the City of Belgrade and the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade, actively implements programs for Law Faculties in the Republic of Serbia. "BACKUP" gathers eminent lecturers and panelists in order to bring young lawyers and law students closer to the professional challenges that await them.

Bearing in mind that future lawyers rarely encounter practice during their studies and that they are insufficiently familiar with the professional challenges ahead, BACKUP's main task is to help them make a decision in which direction they want to further develop their career. Within the areas covered by BACKUP, it also helps interested students and young lawyers to apply for some of the internships offered or to volunteer with current partners of BACKUP.

The central and main event of BACKUP 2024 takes place on April 19, 20 and 21 and will bring together young law graduates and law students who want to get to know their future professions, as well as panelists from the fields of the judiciary, public prosecution, advocacy, barristers, notaries and public enforcement profession, legal experts from the field of economy, administration, banking and insurance sector, auditing firms, ministries and others.

Nenad Vujić, director of the Judicial Academy, on a panel on Friday, April 19 in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia from 18:00, presented the mission, vision and goals of the Judicial Academy, and on that occasion gave a lecture to students and young lawyers about the position and role of the Judicial Academy in Serbia, about constitutional and legal amendments, and why our younger colleagues should decide to build their career path as a future judge or public prosecutor through the Judicial Academy.
